Mount Allison’s 175th Kitchen Party features top Maritime musicians

David Myles, In-Flight Safety, Barra MacNeils deliver all-alumni line-up

SACKVILLE, NB — Mount Allison University is hosting an anniversary party to remember with its 175th Kitchen Party concert, set for Friday, May 8 starting at 9 p.m.

Held as part of the University’s reunion weekend, which welcomes alumni from across the country and around the world back to campus each year, the 175th Kitchen Party will be a highlight of the weekend. The concert is open to the public.

“We are excited to host what will be Mount Allison’s biggest anniversary party to date,” says Mount Allison’s director of alumni Carolle de Ste Croix. “Our concert line-up — all Mount Allison graduates — is stellar and we’re looking forward to celebrating with them and the wider community with a kitchen party like no other.”

The set for the show is the University’s Jennings Dining Hall, making it truly a kitchen party. The all-star line-up includes: Juno Award-winning singer songwriter David Myles; acclaimed indie rockers In-Flight Safety; and long-time East Coast favourites the Barra MacNeils.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $10 for Mount Allison students and will go on sale Monday, February 2. See mta.ca/kitchenparty for more details and to purchase tickets.
