Crash postpones Orillia show – rescheduled for June 6th

A vehicle struck a transformer taking power out at the Opera House and postponing the Barra MacNeils show there.

Power is back on after a crash outside the Orillia Opera House knock out a transformer. The crash happened around 1 Thursday afternoon on West Street North that caused 11 hundred customers to go in the dark. The crash also knocked power out at the Opera House and the public library. The two buildings remain without power.

The outage has forced the postponement of tonight’s scheduled Barra MacNeils show at the Opera House. It has been rescheduled for June 6th.
