Final Stop in Nova Scotia for the national Christmas tour

capture-decran-2016-11-18-a-14-40-04The Barra MacNeils will be finishing-up their legendary cross-country Christmas tour at home in Nova Scotia. Tour dates include two shows at the Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay on December 18, and the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax on December 19 and 20. Celebrating over 30 years of music, the five siblings inject new life and energy into the sights and sounds of the holidays with Christmas in Concert with the Barra MacNeils – showcasing their unique stamp on family favourites and fresh new songs for the season.

“As with previous years, the annual tradition of wrapping up our coast to coast national Christmas tour in the Maritimes is something the entire group looks forward to,” says Stewart MacNeil. “There’s nothing that matches performing at home.”

With a brand-new album on the way for 2017, and successful summer performances in the U.K. and Denmark, audiences can expect beautiful sibling harmonies steeped in traditional Celtic flare. Multiple lead vocalists accompanied by acoustic, stringed, percussion and wind instruments, deliver a vibrant combination of traditional and seasonal songs, dancing and storytelling. The Barra MacNeils’ live concert experience brings so much more to the stage than most live acts ever can; it is family entertainment at its highest level.

“It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season,” says MacNeil.”

The Barra MacNeils’ Glace Bay and Halifax performances are a Brookes Diamond Production.
